Vintage Pre-Wedding Shoot

Engagement or pre-wedding shoot could be very tiring and boring especially when it is taken indoor and restricted only to some themes/concept provided by the bridal houses. Imagine posing in front of the cameras and pretending to be someone else for hours.

Finding suitable theme that reflects you and your loved one personality might not be easy. Why not start with something both of you are passion of and also something that is ever green. Well, we say how about a vintage engagement shoot? Here are some ideas that would hopefully give you some inspirations. Share with your photographers on what both of you like and brainstorm together. Spend some time to prepare the props. You would be smiling at the end of day looking at the outcomes as it would captures what both of you really are.

                                                           1) Hobbies Inspired Shoot
Put you toys/comics collections at use

Flaunt your cameras collection

2) Story-based
Alice in Wonderland during winter
Colourful Alice, perhaps one of  "trash your dress" idea

Look just how much vintage photo frames and tables cloth could change the whole mood

 3) Your favorite ride

It could be a car, a plane or a bicycle. Involving your pet (if it is obedient) in the process is really unforgettable as well

4) Hot Air Baloon
Hot air balloon and your vintage collection

5) Vintage Circus
Black and White wedding. How cool is that!

The sky is the limit. We are sure that you have a bit of idea by now on how your engagement shoot should be. Perhaps start looking for the props now. You can get them by either renting the props from bridal houses/vintage shops/online or start collecting from friends, family or just everywhere. Have fun brainstorming!

Vintage Everywhere

We could see so many shops selling vintage stuff growing like mushrooms after rain nowadays.
The products that was sold are ranging from furniture, toys, clothing, home decorations, artwork, lighting and many more.

Vintage is being used as concepts or themes in events such weddings, annual dinners and also in home interior design. It is definitely not wrong to say that vintage is the 'IN' thing now :).

But really what do we meant by vintage? Most people are often confused with the definition of vintage and are often mixed up with antiques. We did some research and this is what we found!

1) Antique. Something that is really really old. Probably musty, dusty and moldy. Probably made of wood. Usually unstylish and tacky. Most probably aged 100 years and above.

2) Vintage. Something that is too old to be considered used but not as old as Grandma. By calling it "vintage" the seller tries to distract the buyer from the items's blatant imperfections. Like many  "retro" items, "vintage" items are often either mid -century modern (in style if not in fact) or related to bygone pop culture or fashion trends. There are most probably items found in year 1920's to 1970's.
